Will you be in church on Sunday?

“Why do you have to go to church every Sunday?”

“Because that is where I want to be.”

All of us have at some time suffered the effects of isolation during the COVID pandemic. Some of our members recently attended a conference week of Bible study and fellowship, with the theme “Refresh my heart in Christ.”

And it is amazing how much the fellowship and friendship at such a gathering does really refresh your heart.

God knew we needed this fellowship and so from the time of the early church, followers of Jesus have met regularly for worship and praise.

Jesus wants us to be together and work together.

He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. (Ephesians 4:16) So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. (1 Thessalonians 5:11) For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them. (Matthew 18:20)

Don’t put it off. Don’t be too busy. Enjoy the warmth and love of fellow believers each Sunday.

Let us not give up meeting together. Some are in the habit of doing this. Instead, let us cheer each other up with words of hope. Let us do it all the more as you see the day coming when Christ will return. (Hebrews 10:25 NIrV)
